Thursday 17th April - Jumps/Drops INTRO Skills Session 1.30pm - 4.30pm
1.30pm - 4.30pm
This session will be focused on skills training specifically targeting getting your wheels off the ground!
The group learns how to maintain suitable riding positions for obstacles on the ground and varied undulating terrain and how to move the body on the bike to deal with sharp bumps and a range of trail features such as inclines, corners and sudden changes in directions.
Coaches use this session to focus on more technical riding along with jumping and use the legs to find grip, balance and speed, ensuring that the rider remains stable and neutralises bumps and undulations on the trail.
We will utilise our range of MTB Hopper ramps and our skills track to take the riders through the process of learning how to jump. Riders will ride our hand built trails to include features such as, berms, off camber roots, flat corners, drops and jumps.
Price per session is £35.00
Location - Duke of Kent School - Peaslake Surrey
As you enter the school grounds, please turn left (do not go up to the main building) and head towards the sports fields - a large carpark will be on your right.
What to bring on the day: A Mountain Bike, a mountain bike helmet (no BMX helmets) and gloves – in full working order, appropriate clothing (long trousers) and footwear including waterproof jacket (please be aware that clothing and shoes can get muddy by the end of the session so a change of clothes may be handy). Snacks and a drink.
We will conduct a safety check on all bikes and advise on correct set up before every course.
Regardless of age, ability or skill level the Trail Academy is here to help. It is our aim to make all our classes as fun and progressive as possible. We want everyone to learn at their own pace and have fun while doing it!
